About Us

IYP brings together young professionals to help grow their careers, build new friendships, meet new people, and connect with the community. Joining IYP is a great way to network, learn, and have fun.

Our Mission

To provide opportunities for members to meet and socialise with other young professionals in Invercargill.

  • Anyone in Southland in their first 15 years of their career is eligible to join IYP, no matter your age, profession or home city. Come along to our next event and see if you like the vibe.

  • Member prices to all our events and discounts off at our partnering businesses by showing your member tag. See the discounts page for more details!

  • $40 gets you a year’s membership and discounted tickets to all our major events. Click here to purchase.

  • IYP is jointly funded through its membership base and its professional sponsors. We are a not-for-profit society.

  • We host all sorts of social and networking events, including BYOS’, bus trips, and race days, as well as events that are of value to young professionals including speakers on home buying, investment, personal growth and more.

  • Our Annual General Meeting is in November each year.

  • We have a Community Page on Facebook exactly for this sort of thing, as well as sharing flats that are available, and interesting notices from our members.
