Rolling Up our sleeves for old fashioned community spirit, Sat 3 December Thompsons Bush

A tidy up of Thompsons Bush on Sat 3 December. It's a chance for the community to come together and enhance a public facility. The specialist skilled jobs have been sorted, so this is a turn up and muck in.

Here are the details:

 

 

"Parks and Reserves", Westpac and Southland Spirit of a Nation are undertaking the following things on the day.
               a        Weeding
               b        Painting
               c        Picking up Rubbish
               d        Tidying River Bank
               e        Tree Planting        ( 1500 )
               f        Putting up 4 new BBQ benches and 3 benches with seats
               g        Erecting new signs
               

 

The Day looks like this
1. Commence at 9.00am
2. Lunch will be from 12 noon to 1pm
3. Local entertainers will be there singing from 11.30am - 1.30pm
4. Local Halberg Trust people will be invited along for lunch - " International Day for the Disabled "
6 . Visitors will sign in on arrival ( Health and Safely) and go to areas they wish to help.
7.Work will commence again in the afternoon around 1pm.
We want to encourage people to bring along a spade or gloves
